5K Run or one mile walk presented by the IFT Student Association (IFTSA)
Where: Audubon Park, New Orleans, LA
When: Monday, June 30, 2008
Registration: 6:00 am - 6:30 am
Race Start: 6:30 am
Start your Monday morning by supporting the IFT Foundation! Last year more than $35,000 was raised for the Foundation by Fun Runners. The IFT Foundation funds IFT programs exclusively, and proceeds from the Fun Run are designated specifically for IFT scholarships and fellowships.
Course

Corporate Team Challenge
Are you a Team Player and up for a Challenge? If so, then form a team for the IFTSA Fun Run Corporate Team Challenge! Awards are given to the teams with the most participants, fastest team, most pledges collected, and best dressed outfit.
What are the rules for forming a team?
- Any group of 2 or more people
- Teams register as individuals, but must write in team name on registration form
- Team member fees are the same as individual registration fees

Awards and Fundraising
Individuals are awarded plaques in the 5K RUN as follows:
- Top 3 men and top 3 women finishers overall
- Top male and female in the following age categories:
<20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60<
Teams are awarded as follows:
- Top number of participants
- Top fundraising team
- Top best dressed team
Person who collects the most number of pledges will receive an Apple iPod Touch (donated by Sheri Schellhaass) from IFTSA.
Team members are eligible for individual awards.
The fundraising deadline is Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 5:00 pm. Download the pledge sheet here. All pledge sheets and monies need to be turned into Ashley Hiatt, Department of Food Science, 745 Agriculture Mall Dr., West Lafayette, IN, 47907 or Elizabeth Plummer at IFT, 525 W. Van Buren, Suite 1000, Chicago, IL 60607.
Registration
There are two easy ways to register:
- Register online through http://www.am-fe.ift.org/cms/?pid=1000550 (NOTE: Online registration ends June 23, 2008 at 6:00 pm.)
- Register at the Annual Meeting up to 6:00 pm on Saturday, June 28, 2008.
Registration Fees:
- Pre-registration: $15 for students and $25 for non-students
- On-site Entry Fee: $30 (students: $30)
Payment methods
- Checks payable to: IFT Foundation
- Credit cards accepted (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover)
Deadlines:
- June 23, 2008: Deadline for Early Bird and Team Registration
- June 23, 2008: Deadline for Online Registration
Team Registration

Support
Can't make it or simply want to sleep in? Show your support and make a donation of $30 or more to the IFT Foundation scholarship fund and receive a Thank You Gift. Click here to make your 'I Slept In For The Fun Run' donation and receive a ticket that can be redeemed at the IFTSA booth in New Orleans for your t- shirt. If you have already registered for IFT but would still like the 'I Slept In For The Fun Run' shirt, you may log back in to the AMFE registration page and make the doantion as a "ticket only" purchase.
