Overview

Last year, IFTSA and Campbell's began discussions regarding the vitality and energy surrounding the Achievement Award. Both sides agreed that changes needed to occur. After months of redesign and realignment, the IFTSA and Campbell's are prepared to unveil the new and improved "Excellence in Leadership Award." This award is now in line with IFTSA's mission for professional development and encompasses the attributes that companies like Campbell's view as "key" to success of leaders in their field. With these changes, Campbell's has increased their involvement in the award process and their monetary support. IFTSA sincerely appreciates their support.

The major changes to the award are as follows:

  1. The name changes from Achievement Award to "Excellence in Leadership Award."
  2. Each school may nominate two (2) students for the award, one undergraduate and one graduate student.
  3. There will be two $1000 awards given to the top undergraduate and graduate student who exemplify excellent leaders in regard to IFT and their Chapter.
  4. A panel of judges from Campbell's Soup Company will determine awardees.

Purpose: The purpose of the IFTSA Acheivement Award is:

  1. To recognize those student members who have given outstanding service to their Student Chapter.
  2. To provide the opportunity for additional participation in IFT by Student Chapters.
