Graduate Research Paper Competition

Overview

This program provides an opportunity for graduate students to compete nationally and obtain recognition for their outstanding research efforts. Six finalists will recieve a a $500 travel grant to present their research at the IFT Annual Meeting (summer). The first, second, and third place winners will receive additional cash awards of $1000, $750, $500, respectively. All finalists will receive a plaque.

The competition is open to graduate students who are Student Association members as of December 31, one year prior to the competition and who have not graduated before July 1 one year prior to the competition. All entries must be submitted according to competition rules and procedures. Important Dates for 2008

• January 7: Abstracts and intent to enter due.
• March 10: Semi-finalists notified.
• March 31: Written research summary and intent to continue due.
• May 12: Finalists notified.
